Η Ελληνική Κινηματογραφική Λέσχη Λουξεμβούργου θα προβάλει την Τρίτη 24 Ιανουαρίου στις 19.30 και την Τετάρτη 25 Ιανουαρίου στις 21.30 στην αίθουσα 3 του κινηματογράφου Utopia την κωμωδία ΑΠ'ΤΑ ΚΟΚΑΛΑ ΒΓΑΛΜΕΝΑ του Σωτήρη Γκορίτσα (Ελλάδα, έγχρωμη, 2010, 88 min, αγγλικοί υπότιτλοι). Περίληψη
Ένας ειδικευόμενος ορθοπεδικός γιατρός ξεκινάει την καριέρα του στο δημόσιο νοσοκομείο του Ε.Σ.Υ. Εκεί ανακαλύπτει πως γιατροί, διοικητικοί υπάλληλοι, νοσηλευτές, αλλά και ασθενείς, είναι όλοι συμμέτοχοι σε μια παράλογη κωμικοτραγική καθημερινότητα. Ανακαλύπτει το πώς ένα δημόσιο σύστημα που φτιάχτηκε για να υπηρετεί τον άνθρωπο έχει εξελιχθεί σε δήμιο του. Γι’ αυτό και επιχειρεί να του αντισταθεί. Η σύγκρουση ενός εγώ με το Ε.Σ.Υ., η οδύσσεια κάθε Έλληνα που αποφασίζει να τα βάλει με το Δημόσιο σύστημα της χώρας του.
Η ταινία βασίζεται στο ομώνυμο βιβλίο του γιατρού Γιώργου Δενδρινού και "ακτινογραφεί" το Εθνικό Σύστημα Υγείας. Η "μετωπική σύγκρουση" του σκηνοθέτη, όπως δηλώνει ο υπότιτλος της ταινίας, δεν είναι μόνο με το "ελληνικό Δημόσιο", αλλά συνολικά με την κακότροπη νεοελληνική πραγματικότητα, τις ακόρεστες ενδημικές στάσεις ζωής (αρκεί να θυμηθούμε τις προηγούμενες ταινίες του "Απ'το χιόνι", "Βαλκανιζατέρ", "Μπραζιλέρο".

On Tuesday 24 January at 19:30 and on Wednesday 25 January at 21:30 in cinema Utopia we will screen the comedy Welcome to "All Saints" by Sotiris Goritsas (Greece, 2010, colour, beta, 88 min, in the Greek original version with Εnglish subtitles, ages 12+).
FILM SUMMARY
A young medical intern begins his career at the "All Saints" Hospital. It is here that he discovers that everyone who works in the Greek public sector is part of an absurd tragicomedy. He finds out how a system that is designed for the well-being of everyone has become an insane instrument of torture that grinds everyone down, whether they're a saint or not. The film is based on a book by a Greek doctor, Dr. Giorgos Dendrinos, who works in a public hospital. The film director was admitted to this hospital after having an accident, so he met this doctor. The director's brother works at a public hospital as well. So, based on stories by those two men , he wanted to depict the overall bureaucracy of Greece in a humorous way.

The feature From the Snow followed in 1993, gaining awards in the same year at the Amien, Troia and Thessaloniki Film Festivals (in the latter, in both the national and international sections) and the 1994 Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes. His 1997 feature Balkanisateur has met with acclaim in Greece and abroad. Recent works: Brazilero ( 2001), Pals ( 2006) and Welcome to ‘All Saints’ (2010).

Sotiris Goritsas est né à Athènes. Après des études de sciences économiques à l'université d'Athènes, il entre à la London International Film School, où il étudie la réalisation. De 1985 à 1988, il réalise vingt-cinq documentaires pour la télévision nationale grecque. Son premier long métrage de fiction, From the Snow, a été primé au Festival de Thessalonique.
